Leonardo and MiniBoss turn children’s creative ideas into startup projects

A new 90-hour programme for eight- to 13-year-olds combines creative development with business skills, culminating in a startup forum and funding opportunities.

Leonardo Art School and MiniBoss Business School have launched a joint programme aimed at children aged eight to 13, bringing together creativity, basic business training and early entrepreneurial practice. Called “Creative Entrepreneur: From Creativity to Business”, the course is designed to help pupils turn imaginative ideas into workable projects while learning how businesses are planned, presented and sold.

According to the announcement, the programme is split into two parts. In the Creative Lab, participants will generate ideas, develop products and create logos and brand identities. The Business Lab then introduces the essentials of entrepreneurship, including target audiences, pricing, business models, marketing and sales. The schools say the structure is intended to show children how a concept can move from sketch to market.

Participants will work in teams of four to five over a 90-academic-hour course. They will also have the chance to present their work at a Startup Forum, take part in the MiniBoss National Championship and compete for grants to help develop their ventures further. The schools say each pupil will receive a personal certificate on completion. The initiative builds on Leonardo Art School’s wider focus on creative intelligence and on MiniBoss’s long-running model of entrepreneurial education for young people.

MiniBoss Business School describes itself as an international network with more than 70 branches in 27 countries, teaching children aged six to 17 and encouraging leadership, initiative and business thinking. Leonardo Art School, founded in 2000, presents itself as a global network focused on artistic development and creative thinking. Its wider programme includes classes in sketching, architecture, design and imagination, reflecting a broader effort to link artistic expression with practical innovation.
