Neurodivergence is best understood not as a flaw in a child’s ability to learn, but as a mismatch between the learner and the classroom. The idea behind neurodiversity is that conditions such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia are natural variations in how the brain works, and that children may think, process information and respond to teaching in different ways. Rather than trying to make every pupil fit one rigid model, modern education increasingly points to the need for teaching methods and environments that can adapt to a wider range of minds.
